Fall Is Here

I’ve recently decided that Fall is my favorite season, hands down. The cool weather, the changing leaves, apple picking, hot apple cider, apple cider donuts, FALL FASHION! Boots, tights, and scarves are my life. Ever since having Nora, my post-partum hormones have made me hot all. the. time. Like sweaty, uncomfortable, sticking-to-my-baby-while-nursing-hot, and I’m just not a fan. Having grown up in the South, we didn’t have all these fun activities so it’s definitely something to appreciate while living in New England.

I love the beach and sunny weather, but let’s be honest – going to the beach now means sitting under a tent trying to prevent sand from getting into everything and making sure my baby doesn’t get sunburned. But now that the weather is getting cooler, Nora and I have been going on walks everyday and being where she loves to be – outside.

Apple picking in New England is a must-do. My recommendation is to try and go during the week if at all possible to avoid the crowds and to go early in the season. Also, check the website of the location you plan on visiting to see what type of apples are being picked that day. We didn’t do this and ended up with only two types of apples to pick. Oh well. I need a fabulous apple crisp recipe to make with all these apples!
