Some people I know make good use of their weekends by buying lots of food and cooking in bulk thus creating less work during the week and more organized meal plans. But what’s the fun in that? Weekends are for sleeping in, coffee, watching documentaries, more coffee, hitting the town and outdoor barbecues. When I want something quick but don’t want to compromise on yumminess, sandwiches are my go-to food.
In my weekend sandwich, I typically use a torta sandwich roll (but any kind of bread will do), mayo and honey mustard, black forest ham, tomato, avocado and mozzarella cheese. Assemble together, press under the panini grill and viola!
